It's been a long time coming...
At the start of 2021, Vorsprung split off its service department and rebranded it as Melius Suspension, which operated in a separate facility performing all the service work, upgrade installations, tuning and repairs that we had become known for. Meanwhile, Vorsprung continued developing and manufacturing suspension upgrade products, which remains its sole focus.
As of mid 2022, Melius was taken over by the (formerly Quebec-based) S4 Suspension, and rebranded accordingly (yes, Vorsprung service became Melius, which then became S4).
S4 Suspension now take care of all suspension servicing, tuning, repairs, and can take care of you with installation of Vorsprung products and tuning systems if you're local to the Sea to Sky area.
Notably, this means that Vorsprung does not actually perform suspension service work ourselves, nor do we offer installation of our products into your forks/shocks anymore - this is all taken care of by S4 Suspension here in Whistler now. For riders elsewhere in the world, check out our list of international partners.
So what does that mean Vorsprung actually does these days? We do the R&D, the prototyping, the manufacturing and the sales of Vorsprung branded upgrade products. We don't sell or service other brands of products anymore. Why did we choose to do this?
Well, the short answer is that we're developing a shock of our own. We did not feel it was in anybody's best interests for us to be servicing/selling other brands of suspension, as it would be a clear conflict of interest.
